I took new, proper photos of Sigrun's winter outfit. I've taken photos of it before but it didn't have the long skirt nor the extra fur bits yet. The skirt was a necessity as I still don't have winter shoes for her, so I had to hide her legs when I took her outside. The shoes she's wearing in these photos have a higher heel than what she will have, and that's why the skirt is a bit short.
This took me several days to make, but I didn't do it all in one go. I started with making the patterns weeks before she arrived and made a test piece of the dress. The hood and the sleeves I was able to make before her arrival, though. I added the skirt once it became clear I wasn't gonna find shoes for her soon enough. And the second pair of sleeves I made out of the tiny bits of the fabric I had left.
The outer fabric is wool mix and the lace part of the dress is cotton. The lining is very lovely silk chiffon that was a totally accidental find last summer. The rest are pieces of faux fur and various silver accents. I totally forgot to add her headdress into the photo collab, but oh well...
Right, and for those who don't know, the doll is about 64cm tall (+4,5cm heels here)
EDIT// Okay, the overwhelming popularity of this piece totally caught me off guard. I'm adding this to answer the one question that's been asked a lot: Can you share/sell the pattern? And the answer is no. If you want something like this, you'll have to make it yourself or commission someone for it.
Thank you, everyone for all your comments & faves. *3*/
