All the calm things by yenna-photo All the calm things by yenna-photo
I was at a friend's cottage on Mon-Tue and had Kilbas with me. The lake was so lovely and calm at night that I couldn't let the chance to take lakeside photos pass. :D

This was taken around 10PM, a few hours before it got dark. :3

Kilbas is a SOOM Sard

One of these days I'm stealing your Sard. <.< >.> Kilbas is awesome.

The pose looks so natural, too. I don't think I could have taken that good of a shot. I would have been too afraid of getting sand in his joints. Of course I tend to be overly careful not to do anything that might require taking my dolls apart to clean them later cuz I'm afraid I won't be able to put him back together. *sweat*

I really love all your dolls and all your photos, though. They always come out so good. You really have a knack for it.

He actually seems relaxed in this photo... all the other shots I've seen of him he seems tense. This one shows how versatile your style is and how amazingly accurate you can convey emotion in your works. :) And do I spy some new jointed hands?

XD 10 PM and the picture is this light... Here at 10 PM if there's no artificial light, you can't see anything ehauheuhuahuhea

This is a great shot... you're brave to shoot him so much with those hooves... I would go crazy about the chips on the blushing XD

Yeah well, the summer is nearing an end and we actually have about 4-5 hours of dark now. Last month we didn't get any dark at all. It's all nice, but I like darkness, too (although there's too much of it during winter when this situation is reversed).

His blushing doesn't chip. I've pastel blushed it with plenty of MSC layers, plivered the 'fur' part and always pull on the hooves when I pose them. He's had that blushing for a year and it doesn't have a single spot that's chipped. (I wish I could say the same about his claws)

O.O wow. You're a master of those things.... I always think the frist thing that chips are the hooves... I've had two dolls with body blushing for 1 year, and they had some chips here and there, though I cared a lot about that, it was impossible to prevent >:

Here the time is pretty fair... half of the day is light and half is dark XD so everyone has a portion of what they like XD I think in winter it must be a little hard to phtograph dolls there, right? Still, I love Finland... would really like to know this country one day.. a friend of mine went there last month (I don't know if you remember her, she attends by the nickname Abel) and she came back so motivated >w<

I never put bodyblush around dolls joints, so mine hardly chip. With the exception of the soomies, but it's kind of unavoidable. Still, sueding the joint part and handling them with as little rubbing as possible, they last a long time.

Yeah, during winter there are a few months I hardly take any photos at all, since it's only light from Noon to around 2-3PM. It's pretty depressing, really. I prefer this time of the year when it slowly starts darkening after 11PM. It's perfect when it gets dark around 9PM. xD
Yeah, I met her so I do remember her. ^^

I see O.O Well, I try to avoid rubbing too, but sometimes the joint just pops out of position, and it's impossible to not chip the blushing these times @.@' I still need more experience with those things...

I think it must be really cool to have to much ligh time to shoot... as I work in the middle of the day, when I get home it's already dark, so I only have weekends to shoot my dolls with natural light...
But on the other side I igree with what you said about the dark months... it must be depressing to don't see the sunlight in so much time.. and the cold too is very rough, right? Here we are in winter season, but there's no cold at all, at least in Rio de Janeiro, it's sunny and everyone's going to the beach... I wish it was colder in winter, since I don't like too much warmth... ^^'
